There are several morphological connections between the two large mucosal tracts.A deeper general cause feigns to us a number of catarrhal manifestations.According to Bertalanffy, the organism is a flow system, where chemical active substances pass through.According to Reckeweg all diseases are the expression of biologically appropriate defence measures.These biological reactions are triggered by the "system of the large defence."According to the opinion of traditional medicine, nasal catarrh is a pure local disease.The naturopathy however, understands the same disease as a general reaction. The descending catarrh is a reflex process with a later irreversible damage. This is especially significant during childhood. 50 % of the children who fell ill of chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma suffer from a maxillary sinus disease.A final analytical diagnosis looks for the sense and purpose of the catarrh.The mucosal catarrh expresses the effort of the organism to heal itself.
