Abstract: A short summary of hahnemanns theory of acute diseases is given. The "morbi intercurrentes" are differentiated and discriminated from the "interrupting accidents". Vithoulkas´ scheme of evaluation and prognosis of acute diseases is used to illustrate clinical examples.
