Inhalationstherapie mit I02ITh bei Patienten mit chronisch-progredienter multipler Sklerose

Abstract: 15 patients with chronic-progressive multiple sclerosis inhalation therapy with positive ionized oxygen was performed during a period of 24 months (I02ITh/Engler). Fifteen patients with comparable age, severity and duration of disease served as control group. At the end of the observation period 12 of the 15 patients treated with I02ITh showed improvement or stabilization of the disease activity. In contrast, 10 of the 15 patients without oxygen therapy exhibited disease progression. When using a standardized capacity score, the I02ITh group improved (from 42 to 53), whereas the control group deteriorated (from 42 to 34).
