Effects of sempervirine 5 and 7c on avoidance responses and grooming behavior of the rat

Abstract: Sempervirine is a drug possessing at low doses anxiolytic properties that are overcome by an emetic action when it is administered at higher doses. In the present study we have investigated the effects of very low doses of sempervirine on experimental models of anxiety in rats. The drug was administered intraperitoneally for 7 days at the doses of 5 and 7 C (2 ml/rat) and then tested in the behavioral experiments, Emotional reactivity was assessed with a dark s that were treated with sempervirine than in controls. Also in this experiment no difference was found in the effect of the two dilutions.
