Wound healing by homeopathic dilutions of silicea in experimental animals

Abstract: Homeopathic dilutions of silica are widely used in homeopathic medicine for the treatment of chronic wounds, for the ulcers, abscesses etc. We developed an experimental system for the induction and evaluation of chronic wounds and used it to test the therapeutic effects of homeopathic dilutions of silica. Holes were made in the ears of mice by metal dental wire which was kept hanging from the ear to cause a persistent wound, In each experiment three or four groups of 10 mice were treated by homeopathic dilutions of silica 5 C. 30 C, 200 C and of saline 5 C, respectively. added to the drinking water for 4-20 days according to experiments, The size of the wound holes was measured eve ilutions of silica (also well beyond Avogadro's number) have clear therapeutic effects on wound healing and that our experimental model for studying wound healing is a very useful tool for future studies.
