Abstract: Dr. med. R Rossi Universitätsklinik für Anästhesiologie Sektion Notfallmedizin Klinikum der Universität Ulm Zusammenfassung Akute Kokain-Intoxikationen nehmen an Zahl und Schweregrad weltweit massiv zu. Die Diagnose basiert auf der gezielten Anamneseerhebung und der körperlichen Untersuchung. Leitsymptome lebensbedrohender Zustände sind ausgeprägte Bewußtseinsstörungen bis hin zum Koma Krämpfe Atemdepression und Herzrhythmusstörungen. Die Notfalltherapie ist symptomatisch auf die Sicherung einer ausreichenden Atem- und Herz-Kreislauf-Funktion ausgerichtet. Die Prognose ist nach Überwindung der Akutphase wegen der kurzen Halbwertszeit von Kokain günstig. Cocaine Intoxication: Acute cocaine intoxications increase worldwide dramatically both in number and severity. Diagnosis is based on history and thorough clinical examination. Typical signs are alteration of consciousness up to coma convulsions respiratory depression and cardiac dysrhythmias. Emergency therapy is oriented symptomatically to securing ventilatory and circulatory function. After overcoming the initial phase of intoxication prognosis is good due to the short half-life of the substance. ab
