Music Therapy with Children and Grown Ups

Abstract: Article based on a talk from World Congress of Music Therapy. Rio. Oppositional views - and the view of man behind them - on the phonomenon of autism are presented. Via case-studies the author illustrates her view on autism. The necessity of focusing on contact while working with these patients, as well as the potential of musictherapy towards these patients. Treatment should according to the author take as its point of departure the patients early development of self.
