Abstract: Describes how wind instruments were used to reciprocally inhibit the strong fear, anxiety, and avoidance behavior of a 6-yr-old girl with pervasive developmental disorder. During music therapy, the S showed improvement in fine motor skills, attention span, levels of compliance and frustration tolerance, and apprehension of cause-and-effect relationships.
