A phenomenological investigation of being effective as a music therapist |
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the experiences of being ineffective and effective as a music therapist. Eleven experienced music therapists were interviewed regarding two experiences: a session where he/she experienced him/herself as being ineffective as a music therapist, and a session where he/she experienced him/herself as being effective. A phenomenological approach was used to analyze and summarize the data.
