Abstract: This case describes one year of GIM therapy with a young woman, who after undergoing an abortion, found a need to be healed emotionally on many levels. As a child, she had developed anorxic behaviors in response to a dysfunctional family system affected by alcoholism. Through GIM, the image of herself as a young female waif forced out on her own evolved into a mature woman seasoned in the trials of the world, able to care for herself and to create healthy relationships.
