Single case research designs for the clinician

Abstract: Single-case study designs are an attempt to formalize clinical stories. These designs take as their basis the clinical process where the illness is diagnosed and assessed, a treatment is prescribed, the patient is monitored during the application of that treatment, and the success of the treatment is then evaluated.
