Abstract: Pakistan´s homoeopathic history started with a maharaja´s treatment by a pupil of Hahnemann. After having been continued mainly by laymen and nearly turned utterly to quackery, homoeopathy has since Pakistan´s independence reained its status as a qualified system of medicine with the establishment of a homoeopathic Council. Today there are even efforts tos et up a university course for this medical field.
