Abstract: In the first part of work, an attempt is made to serve the modell of human thinking and acting as well as to redefine the terms "health and illness" taking into account cybernetic observation.The second part presents a critical argument introducing a new therapeutic approach, Orthovegetative Therapy according to Berge (OVT), raising a theme which has previously received little attention. Cybernetic observation is used diagnostically and therapeutically in order to encourage or to test the body's own facility to regulate the organism, whereby chronic diseases of modern civilisation are viewed, among other things, as a disturbing influence on basic vagotonic regulation.After the injection of choline, the biochemical precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, a mild, initially vagotonic regulation is triggered in the body, followed by a sympathicotonic counter-regulation process. The oscillation provoked in this way fades away within a few moments. A new vegetative condition occurs. In this way, a vegetative maladjustment can be checked and corrected.Orthovegetative Therapy according to Berge (OVT) enjoys a wide range of therapeutic applications. Disorders can be remedied within minutes, serious illnesses undergo rapid alleviation or are accelerated on the path to recovery.
