Grundlagen und Ergebnisse einer Therapie mit einem Dialysat aus Kälberblut bei peripherer arterieller Verschlußkrankheit

Abstract: Actihaemyl is a protein-free, chemically and biologically standardized hemodialysate of blood from calves. Numerous experimental investigations demonstrate a favourable influence on cellular respiration under deficiency circumstances and an increase in hypoxia tolerance. With respect to occlusive peripheral vascular disease (PVD), a raising of the 02-saturation, a reduction of lactate levels and an increase in pH were proved. Verified by double-blind studies, the clinical correlate of this metabolic effectiveness consists in a prolongation of walking distance in stage II of Fontaine, the reduction of pain at rest in stage III and a faster healing of trophic lesions in stage IV. Actihaemyl and a therapy with 02/03-mixtures could be able to complement one another in a synergetic way.
