Von der Morphologie zur Kybernetik - Plädoyer für eine Erweiterung des wissenschaftlichen Spektrums in der Medizin |
Abstract: The functional-analytical biometry or the electro-acupuncture according to Voll, a regulation-diagnostical and system-diagnostical method, belongs together with acupuncture and homoeopathica to the group of so-called outsider methods, which can not be integrated in the traditional models of our medical science. Therefore it has to be regarded as being unscientific.Even the occasional attempts of clinical medicine, to review this method with its understanding of science will remain as fruitless as the attempt to measure an electrical charge with a ruler and scales. On the other hand, these traditional paradigms which have been taken over from the concept of science of the 19th century (as questioned by famous physicists) do not seem to be the right way to lead our medical science out of the present misery (e.g. as far as diagnostics and therapy of chronic diseases are concerned). lt is no wonder, that in our medical sciences in universities the claim for a long overdue change of the paradigm-which other fields of science have long lost behind-is uttered, too. In the United States they call it "second medical revolution" or "informedicine" ' The change of paradigms which has been claimed, would mainly consist of the inclusion of cybernetic models, but also of findings in thefield of quantum mechanics, the model of dissipative structures, and finally the principle of holography (David Bohn). There is no doubt, that the acceptance of an energetic and cybernetic point of view also in medicine-on the same level as a material-structural point of view-would mean to medical science a progress which is similarly important as the biochemical model of those days.it would not be the fate of a model which is quite true in some branches, to be abadoned-after overcoming the attitude of "onething or another" in favour abandoned-after overcoming the attitude of "one thing or another"-in favour of a new model, which is more true in other branches. Even the fruitless distinction between so-called scientific and homoeopathic medicine would no longer be true. Medical science could make its way back to the principle "nil nocere" via a new understanding of the concept of disease and via purely cybernetic therapeutical approaches. It is shown, that the functional-analytical biometry-electro-acupuncture according to Voll (EAV)-is a typical method within the new paradigm.
