Abstract: The neural therapy founded in 1928 by the two brothers Ferdinand and Walter Huneke belongs to those of the few naturopathies used in clinics whose strive for scientific acceptance is already successful.The mechanism of action as well as the various phenomena of this therapy are described and indications and limits are shown. Finally, the possibilities of application in daily practice, social factors and prospects also in view of the integration into the approaching European health system are mentioned.
