Anwendungen sogenannter ergänzender Therapieverfahren bei urologischen Krankheitsbildern

Abstract: Some users of complementary healing methods, whose value until now has been confirmed historically and empirically to a greater extent than it has been proven scientifically claim to treat a very broad spectrum of indications. Therefore it appears necessary to present and evaluate experience documented to date in summary form for individual areas, such as the urogenital system. Acupuncture, hypnotherapy, homeopathy and phytotherapy have, in particular, been used successfully applied, for instance for urological ailments that are difficult, both physically and pharmacologically, to treat, and also as adjuvants in therapy and prophylaxis of tumours. It is necessary to conduct further serious and scientific study of these methods if workable healing methods are to be established in future with defined indication areas that clearly distinguish them from occultist and useless methods.
