Abstract: The paper aims to demonstrate how a community development approach in health has developed a thriving community natural health service. The paper is written by the community health worker and the acupuncturist. The focus of the paper is on the experience and how the process developed. It demonstrates the Potential role of active participation in health in deprived communities by accessing holistic health care in an attempt to improve quality of life. The paper also makes attempts to identify some crucial questions which require further research.
