Abstract: In the fifties when Ferdinand Huneke published his first experiences and gave lectures travelling through the whole country the neural therapy and the "second phenomenon" were not believed but rejected by most of the medical men. Here it is described in a quite personal experience how over the years understanding for the neural therapy grew out of the initial scepticism and finally developed into conviction, into certainty as to the efficacy of this method.
