Antigen-antibody Complex Diseases and Possibilities in Diagnosis and Therapy

Abstract: Some types of accelerated vascular sclerosis are connected to mechanisms of the antigen-antibody complex. Besides peripheral titration of the antigenantibody complex at pathological levels, these patients, suffering from diverse inflammatory, regressive-degenerative diseases, immunodefects and autoimmunity, also show an inhibition of the blood vessels with complement and immunoglobulins. Diagnostic possibilities with serological methods and biopsies are presented. Possibilities of therapy include modification of antigen presentation, of its clearance kinetics and of the inflammatory potential.
