Einfache Methode zur Diagnostik der Psychoasthenie?

Abstract: A simple method of diagnosing mental disorders by means of differences in the reaction to pressure on the point K 27 is described. The findings are based on the study of 185 patients who were receiving acupuncture for a variety of complaints. Constant pressure was applied with the finger on the point K 27 in the region of the steron-clavicular joint on each side of the body. 38% reported perceiving no difference between the left and the right point, 60% reported the left point to be more sensitive to pressure. In 38 patients who were receiving acupuncture therapy for mental disorders were subjected no difference in the pressure sensation; 21% reported the right point to be more sensitive and 50% reported the left point to be more sensitive to pressure. The author suggests that this simple method should be studied in a larger sample of patients both with a variety of complaints and those with mental disorders.
