[Neurophysiologic changes during the treatment of endogenous depression by reflexotherapy]
Superficial EEG and visual evoked potentials (EP) were studied in 28 patients with endogenous depression treated with reflexotherapy in order to study the neurophysiological correlates of its therapeutic action. A stepwise development of reflexotherapeutic effect was determined. The first stage is that of unspecific activation EEG and EP changes correlating with activating and stimulating clinical effects. At the 2nd stage clinical improvement with proportional reduction of all the components of depressive syndrome run parallel to the normalization of neurophysiological indices.
