Abstract: Prof. Dr. W. Ziechmann Göttingen Zusammenfassung Peloide wirken durch ihre Inhaltsstoffe. Diese sind Multikomponentensysteme. Neben definierten niedermolekularen sowie höhermolekularen Verbindungen dominieren im Schlick und vor allem in den Badetorfen Huminstoffe. Von ihnen sind direkte Wirkungen in das Bademedium hinein aber auch gegenüber biologischen Objekten nachweisbar. Die Hautgängigkeit der Huminstoffe ist letztlich ein noch ungelöstes Problem obwohl mehrere Instanzen für eine positive Entscheidung in dieser Sache sprechen. Summary Peloids exhibit their effects through their constituents. These are multi-component Systems. Besides defined low-molecular as well as high-molecular compounds humin substances dominate in the mud and above all in the peat used for baths. Direct effects of such substances into the bath medium but also on biological objects can be demonstrated. The passage of the humin substances into or through the skin is finally a still unsolved problem although several instances suggest a positive decision on this subject. wt
