Music and Emotion in Music therapy
Abstract: The thesis (in English) states that the essence of music is not a form of cathasis, but rather signifying something more. The patient's music may reflect specific problems or simply function on a catalyst, enabling him to get in touch with images and emotions relating to the problem. The therapist - in a process of trust, intervention, and integration - should evaluate if a client's emotional expression is natural. If not the emotional expression should not be reinforced.
