Abstract: Presents a psychoecological model of stationary psychotherapy in the treatment of major psychopathological problems. The therapeutic activities involved in stationary psychotherapy include music therapy, psychodrama, movement therapy, activity therapy, and crafts; they aim to socially activate the patient, strengthen and restructure the ego, and remove his/her fantasy world. In contrast to classical psychoanalysis, the milieu therapists concentrate on the present rather than on the past.
