Abstract: This paper presents a music and movement program for young children with primary language and learning disorders. Music and movement therapy has relevance to this population because of the nature of their speech, language and other learning and developmental disabilities. The paper describes how the Yamaha system has been applied in this program to enhance the sensory-motor, perceptual and cognitive-linguistic development.
