Abstract: Provides the music therapist with a comprehensive assessment, inclusive of cognitive, motor, communication, social, and visual domains, to be used with patients with disabilities, particularly those who have suffered a cerebrovascular accident (CVA). The assessment battery was devised in collaboration with an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and a neurologist. This assessment and subsequent treatment of the CVA patient require the music therapist to become educated and continually research medical applications and procedures.
