Abstract: Suggests that caregivers can use music to significantly enhance the lives of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Music provides opportunities for successful experiences for Alzheimer's patients by encouraging them to sing or play instruments. Completing lyrics to familiar songs can serve to trigger automatic language abilities, and exercising to music encourages the use of different body parts and concentration; soothing music can promote relaxation.
