Categories of music therapy at Judson Retirement Community

Abstract: Describes the 5 categories of music therapy intervention used with persons with Alzheimer's disease (AD) in an assisted living and nursing care center or in a retirement community's day enrichment center. The categories are stimulation goals, active involvement goals, specific individualized behavioral goals, maintenance goals, and provision of consultant service to other departments.
