Fun and entertainment: One aspect of making meaningful music for the elderly |
Journal/Book: Activities, Adaptation and Aging. 1990; 14: 39-44.
Abstract: Discusses the musical quiz and music for easy listening as 2 activities that activity leaders can use in music programs for elderly individuals. Roles and functions of the activity leader are addressed. Such activities help counterbalance some of the losses of aging and the effects of institutionalization. Musical programs with components of fun and entertainment should appeal to the elderly on emotional, visual, and auditory levels. (0 ref)
