Music therapy and the composer

Abstract: Discusses the role of the process of identification in an individual's appreciation for music and notes the need for musicotherapists and researchers, as well as composers, to understand this identification process for every patient in music therapy. The need for collaboration between composers and music therapy researchers is stressed.
