Long-term Attendance and Therapy of Tumour Patients in the Practice |
Journal/Book: Natur- und Ganzheitsmedizin Wissenschaft und Praxis. 1990; 3/2: 29-35.
Abstract: Many patients suffering from malignant tumours can be treated effectively as out-patients. With palliative treatment and long-term treatment, in particular, significant improvement of the quality of life can be achieved. It is, however, indispensable to establish the plan of treatment in close co-operation with a competent tumor centre. Those malignant growths which can be treated in out-patients include for example lymphomas, carcinomas of the breast, and intestinal carcinomas. Highly toxic cytostatic schemes which require continuous observation stay restricted to clinical therapy.
