Taraxacum ofricinaleWIGGERS

Abstract: The herbal drug Taraxaci radix cum herba (roots and herb of Taraxacum officinale WIGGERS), its active substances and the phytotherapeutical use as diureticum, cholagogum and amarum are described. In addition examples of dandelion plants as subject of medieval paintings and modern lyric poetry are given.
