Abstract: During a multicenter clinical trial 166 patients were treated with the rutin-rich buckweat preparation Fagorutin. The patients suffered from microcirculatory disturbances of varying degrees as a result of venous insufficiencies, peripheral circulation disorders, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, as well as other illnesses. The results are demonstrated in tables and figures. After 6 weeks of therapy with Fagorutin tea and/ or tablets symptoms were significantly improved in 64% of the patients with cerebral sclerosis, as well as patients with local manifestations such as edema, swelling, leg cramps, ulcus cruris, diabetic retinopathy, and sensitivity disorders responded very well to the therapy. Undesired effects were not observed.
