From Morphology to Cybernetics (I)

Abstract: An extension of the scientific spectrum in medicine - similar to the change of paradigm in physics - could lead to new diagnostic and therapeutic concepts via new theoretical models and a new understanding of disease. The presently valid, morphologically and biochemically based model can neither be the basis of truly aetiological diagnostics nor of therapy free from side-effects, even if it has proven good in the treatment of acute conditions. A start for such an extension is made in applying a new paradigm which is based an systemtheory, quantum mechanics, and cybernetics, an which has the idea of the feedback mechanism in its centre.
