Änderungen der Hauttemperatur an den Akren der Finger bei Stimulation von Akupunkturpunkten |
Journal/Book: Deutsche Zeitschrift für Akupunktur. 1990; 33: 2-8.
Abstract: The phenomenon of temperature reduction at the distal phalangies of the fingers following stimulation of the Acupuncture points is studied on a larger number of healthy and sick probants. A definite reaction based on vasoconstriction could be demonstrated in far more then half of the tested subjects. The method described here can be adapted to document subsequent changes of skin temperature by means of temperature profiles and to estimate the validity of single points and different stimulation methods by the possibility to repeat the same test, at least concerning the efficacy of vasomotoric of the fingers. The Deqi can also be objectified in this direction. Further investigations should be able to clarify the connection between this phenomenon and the therapeutic success.
