Abstract: All diseases can be pathobiochemically traced back to two main sets of causes. On the one hand there are changes - in the sence of mutations - in the DNA of the cells or in the information carried by each cell, and an the other hand there is the entropy-increasing effect of "free" radicals, activated oxygen-levels, and lipid peroxidation. The phenomenon of lipid peroxidation could be the basis of all acquired diseases and an important cause in the process of aging. It also plays an etiologically important role with insulin-requiring diabetes. The stronger and the more comprehensive foreign energetic influences (xenobiotica, viruses, high-energy radiation) work an bio-organic molecules, the bigger the differences of potential in neighbouring functional systems grow. These differences of potential easily cause transitions of radicals. They disturb existing stable-unstable oscillating orbital kinetics and can thus lead to structural changes, disaggregation, and molecular breaks. These molecularpathological processes express themselves in various diseases.
