Homöopathie im Umkreis der deutschen Romantik - Medizingeschichtliche und medizinphilosophische Streiflichter (Teil 1) |
Journal/Book: Allgemeine Homöopathische Zeitung. 1990; 235/1: 3-6.
Abstract: The interrelation between homoeopathy and the Romantic Movement has been hitherto largely ignored in the history of medicine. Using the examples of various leading figures of the late German Romantic Movement, such as Johann Nepomuk von Ringseis (1785-1880), Julius Hamberger (1801-1885), Gitthilf Heinrich von Schubert (1780-1860) and Gottlieb Ludwig Rau (1779-1840), some asects of the complex interrelation between homoeopathy and the Romantic Movement are examined, not only from the historical but also from the medical-philosophical point-of-view. The central themes are Julius Hamberger´s attempt to establish a theoretical basis for homoeopathic healing methods as well as Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert´s theory of illness and healing through the spirit of music.
