Pollen - scientiric point of view

Abstract: The phytochemical composition of pollen is observed dependent on plant species, origin and time of harvesting. The content of phytosterols e. g. differs between zero and 0.7 per cent.That only a few investigations on the efficacy of pollen preparations exist, may be a consequence of their broad chemical variety.An appetizing activity as well as roborant effects are well documented especially in children and elder people. In addition, a prostatotrop effect was proved for rye-pollen. Further more an immunostimulating activity may be discussed.
