Soluble organic Silicon Compounds in GreenOat HerbA contribution to the liberation of active principles of medicinal herbs |
Abstract: Green oat herb is used as herbal tea according to prescriptions by Pfarrer Kneipp as assisting remedy against asymptomatic hyperuricemia and for irrigation therapies of the lower urinary tract. Active principles are soluble silicon compounds, flavonoides and saponins. As the silicon compounds are sparingly soluble, special attention must be given to them. The study at issue shows that with the combination of green oat, big sting nettle, St. John's wort and mountain lady's mantle a superadditive liberation of soluble silicon compounds in comparison with mono herbs can be reached.
