Zur Bedeutung und Pathogenese der Migräne

Abstract: The great socio-medical and economic importance of migraine is shown by several results. The prerequisite to migraine is an inherited or acquired disposition. This causes - together with further factors - a temporarily increased vasoreactivity (increased tendency for a migraine attac). If in the situation of increased migraine tendency a migraine trigger appears can begin. Local tissue changes are responsible for the onesided migraine pain (hemicrania). The lifelong migraine suffering induces several psychic, hemodynamic vegetative, reflectoric and biochemical changes causing a chronification of the migraine.
