Abstract: Since ancient times it is known that chronic inflammations (focus) can be the underlying and hidden cause of chronic disease. Focus is defined as a chronic infammatory region disturbing the mesenchymal regulation. The mesenchym (Pischinger) can be in disorder by different pathologic influences like stress, overweight, toxis substances. In over I/3 of all cases a focus in the main cause for mesenschymal disregulation. The most important localisations of a focus are described (tonsilla, dens, paranasal sinus, appendix, prostate, adnexa). The pathogenetic mechanism of focal illnes and the diagnostic process to identify the focus is shown - especially the Vegatest-Method. A practical case illustrates the diagnostic approach. At least some psychosomatic ideas of the author are explained concerning the "organ language" of the focus.
