[Results of the therapeutic correction of psychoautonomic disorders in patients with vitiligo]

Psycho- and autonomotropic drugs, acupuncture, and psychotherapeutic conversations were used for the correction of psychologic abnormalities in 49 vitiligo patients, presenting with impaired sociopsychological adaptation and autonomic imbalance. The unfavourable status was effectively arrested with such treatment; if combined with photochemotherapy, it increased repigmentation by 20%; when a complete therapeutic complex was prescribed from the very beginning, the periods necessary to achieve marked repigmentation (of more than 50% of the vitiliginous maculae) were cut down by half.
