Abstract: The organizational structure governing clinical practice at the Cleveland Music School Settlement is described as one operational format for effective delivery of music therapy services. Within this format, different levels of intervention offered and the various uses of music in therapy are discussed. Issues felt to affect the future growth of music therapy as a clinically based profession include the professional maturity level of entry level therapist, as well as the quality and length of academic training programs.
