Abstract: Describes experiences with a music-therapy group for inpatients with multiple sclerosis. Results from 225 male and female West German adults (aged 19-68 yrs) who participated in the 4-6-wk program indicate that group music therapy can provide psychological support and can help patients cope with their illness. Observations of the therapy sessions reveal that group discussions focused on the patients' disabilities, uncertainty, anxiety, depression, loss of self-esteem, and other problems associated with multiple sclerosis. (English abstract) ABSTRACT 2: Discusses the present author's experience using axiologic group psychotherapy to teach neurotic children how to know themselves and to understand how people relate emotionally and intellectually. Psychotherapy sessions take the form of music therapy, group pantomime, reading sessions, and plastic art sessions. Value system formation is taught with a creative approach to concepts and to psychological, ethical, and existential problems. (English & Russian abstracts)
