Borderline experience - Problems and opportunities in treatment |
Journal/Book: Musiktherapeutische Umschau. 1989; 10: Stuttgart. G. Fischer Verlag. 183-194.
Abstract: The music therapist describes, on the basis of her work with patients with oral primacy evidenced by eating disorder symptoms, the particularities of relationship-forming with these patients. The elements of threat and opportunity in the improvisation process result in concentration on delimitation and aggressive self-assertion as the main themes in the therapy. A case study illustrates the therapeutic attitude of indicating the quality of libidinal and aggressive impulses, using the technique of resonating chamber function.
