Music therapy for living : the principle of normalization embodied in music therapy |
Abstract: Focuses on the need for understanding the inherently normalizing effects of music therapy and its use as a primary treatment modality for the full spectrum of disabling conditions: developmental, physical, mental, and emotional. Presents a methodology to bring about change, and music activities that develop universal skills and abilities. Activities include singing, chanting, instrument playing, music and movement, and the selection of instruments.
