Abstract: Adolph Lippe belonged to the great can physicians responsible for the reputation of homoeopathy in this country in the past century. He had at his disposal an outstanding knowledge of materia medica and therefore he was able to make excellent prescriptions. This happened in an era when repertories were of little importance and when the searching for the simile had not dropped to the level of mechanical repertorization.
