Has the "Health Resort" any Chance of Survival?

Abstract: The theory is supported that, at the turn of the millennium, the health resorts will either be centres of primary, secondary, or tertiary prevention or that they will not exist any longer. In the education and further education of the doctors, the treatment of chronically ill people is being neglected in favour of the medicine of acute diseases; this is a change for the health resorts. Yet, it is important to redefine the notion of "health" and to develop new forms of health education. If stays at health resorts were deduced from the number of days holiday, abuse of the health resorts could be prevented.
