La Rocchetta, Heimstatt der Elektrohomöopathie

Abstract: During the second half of the 19th Century Italian Count Cesar Mattei (1809-1896) created the "Electro-Homeopathy", a therapeutic system based an alchemy. He claimed an improvement upon Hahnemanns homeopathy by isolation of "vegetable electricity ". His remedies were said to work as quick and powerfull as electrical energy. After apolitical career in the Italian Pontifical State 40 years old Mattei retired to his moorish castle "La Rocchetta ". Furthermore he developed more than 30 "electro-homeopathic" remedies. His books were translated into many languages. In Germany "electrohomeopathic" medicine has been available until about 1980.
